It could have been a sad affair after the horrific incident in Manchester the night before, but the young fans of Astrid S at the front of the crowd were having none of that. Armed with pink roses, Astrid was showered with them as she broke into her opening number, “Bloodstream”. A beautiful moment that showed that nothing will break the music industry.

Astrid has already collaborated with artists such as Avicii and Shawn Mendes, and you can see why. Her wonderful voice and the heavy beats give a real upbeat feel to her songs, includint the more emotional ballads.

The Norwegian singer-songwriter was delighted to tell the sellout crowd that it was her biggest gig to date. “Even bigger than Oslo!”, she exclaimed.

She wanted music venues to be a place where people can escape to, and where they can be happy. She went on to dedicate her favourite song, “Paper Thin”, to the victims of Manchester.

The fans hung around after the last song in hope to get an encore. Luckily for them Astrid plans to release more music this year!

Astrid S will be performing around Scandinavia during June and July. Dates can be found on her website.
Her fantastic latest single ‘Party’s Over’ has just been released and can be found on iTunes, and Spotify. 30th June will see the release of “Party’s Over” as an EP.

Support on Tuesday night came from Etham.
