Kevin McGowan is a family man and a 9-5er. However, he has been a music addict ever since he was 12 and his uncle lent him a bunch of scratched up LPs (Alice’s Billion Dollar Babies, Led Zeppelin III, New York Dolls, and Hendrix’s Electric Ladyland).
He’s blogged about old Canadian LPs (the now-defunct www.itcamefromcanada.com site), and hosted the popular Canadian music podcast, The Ruckus (2008-2011, 72 episodes, 700,000 downloads). Since leaving The Ruckus, he produced an acclaimed radio documentary for CBC‘s Inside The Music, and currently produces Capital Revue, an audio blog for the Ottawa Citizen.
He always wanted to do a web series like The Revue, and was happy as anything to find a guy with some video cameras and the same vision.
