If you have yet to make your plans for the long weekend, let me offer a suggestion – go see Marta Pacek.

Pacek – the Polish-born, Australian resident who lives part of the year in Canada – will be spending the next week in the National Capital Region, performing six shows over nine nights before heading to Montreal, Hamilton, and Toronto. The sultry singer-songwriter writes songs that will melt your heart and enrapture your soul. Her latest album, Voodoo Dolls and False Alarms, which was reviewed three weeks ago, is a mix of touching folk and foot-stomping folk-rock.

Catch Pacek at one of the venues below, enjoying a meal out and finishing the night with some excellent music and company.
