The Dirty Jacks are an alternative-prog rock band from Rockville, MD, which lies just north of Washington, D.C. They are putting the finishing touches on the follow-up to their debut album, Rufus, which was released in 2011. Their next EP, All Part of the Plan, will be released later this summer.
In the meantime, you can listen to the second single from the EP, “Kill the Lights”. If you’re a fan of Dream Theater or Clutch, this is well worth the listen. The song builds into reaching its climax and then refrains back to create a roller coaster-type experience.
