Farewell Davidson could be one of the big surprises of Bluesfest 2014. With a melodic but rocky sound reminiscent of Kings of Leon or Sloan and well written, relatable lyrics, Farewell Davidson are a throwback to the kind of folky alternative music that was made popular in the 1990’s and, still, holds favor today.
Live, Farewell Davidson are a fun bunch and bring a precise mixture of energy and musicianship. Being a classic four-piece gives each band member a chance to shine and their EP “Hometown Lights”, released last year, is a highly recommended listen for anyone looking for great local music. You can catch Farewell Davidson at 1:30 p.m. on The River Stage on July 13.
Expect a show that leaves you feeling good and trying to find out more about this talented young band.
