I’m loving that Bluefest is tapping into so much local blues for the festival this year. Old Whiskey Road don’t just choose evocative band names, they play a crowd-pleasing style of country and blues with some tight musicianship and great vocal harmonies. Kristin St. Pierre on vocals has a laid back style, and fellow vocalist Dave Morrow has a quiet tenor. The rest of the band plays like they’re cranking out tunes for a saloon full of rowdy gunslingers.
