Inspired by Jenny Lewis’ video for “Just One of the Guys”, which included Hollywood stars Anne Hathaway, Kristen Stewart, and Brie Larson, we have listed five great videos involving film or television stars and other famous people.
Butch Walker and The Black Widows, “Synthesizers”
In 2011, Butch Walker and The Black Widows released Spade, which was a really good album. Unfortunately, he didn’t fair too well commercially. However, they did produce an awesome video for “Synthesizers”, which has Matthew McConaughey reprise his role of Wooderson from Dazed and Confused. Relive this great track and the memories of that coming-to-age movie.
The Apples In Stereo, Dance Floor
Elijah Wood makes an appearance in this music video for Elephant 6 co-founders The Apples In Stereo off of their 2010 record Travellers in Space and Time. In the video, Wood travels through time and space and finds himself singing along with Robert Schneider of The Apples. Wood also directed the video for the song “Energy” by The Apples, and you can watch that here
Fat Boy Slim, Weapon of Choice
Two words – Christopher Walken.
Father John Misty, “Hollywood Forever Cemetery Sings”
Though she’s known mostly for her comedic roles in Parks and Recreation and Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, Aubrey Plaza makes an appearance that almost resembles a horror movie. Plaza can play crazy as well as anyone, and she does it in this video for “Hollywood Forever Cemetery Sings”.
Everclear, “One Hit Wonder”
Ever wonder who that cute redhead was in the video of Everclear’s hit song, “One Hit Wonder”? It was none other than Christina Hendricks, who went on to achieve fame on Mad Men. She also starred in Broken Bells’ video for “The Ghost Inside”, another great track and video.
