On Friday, one of the leading members of Public Enemy, Chuck D, released a new single that has surprisingly gone under the radar, including ours. But better late than never. “Give We the Pride” features the great Mavis Staples providing lead vocals with ChuckD providing the beats and the rap lyrics. It’s a great tune that has an old-fashion R&B feel coupled with hip hop sounds.
