Mind Movies is the project of Raoni Santos. You may remember Mind Movies from the Ummagma Lama remixes LP, and from our feature on Tuesday, featuring his remix of “Light Scheme” on Sounds of Sputnik’s latest album, which I called “absolutely fantastic”. One thing that makes Santos’ remixes stand out from the crowd is the amount of sounds he adds to a song. His choice of sounds is always fitting for the song at hand, ranging from 8 bit sounds to deep basslines, Santos seems to find the right feel without it feeling overwhelming. Some remix producers throw away verses, overproduce, and turn a song into something completely unrecognizable. Mind Movies isn’t like that, if you like the original track, you’ll probably dig what Santos does to it. Check out some of his remixes below!
