As we celebrate our one-year anniversary, we’ll be revisiting some of the bands and artists that we have profiled in this space. One such band is Baltimore’s Misun, who has been highly underappreciated and overlooked for way too long. Until recently – really the last 3 or 4 months – music blogs have ignored Misun, but their recent mini-tour to the western US has helped raise their profile. In addition, they continue to produce single after single, releasing them for free download on their Soundcloud site. Their brand of indie pop is infectious and celebratory. At the same time, they can create smooth, groovy tunes or jangle-pop tracks for those mellow evenings and hot summer days.
One such track is the cool “Goodbye Summer” – a terrific jangle pop number. It’s the anthem to end the last long weekend of summer, looking back at the great times spent these past 2+ months and to look forward to the colours of autumn. The song is below. Enjoy the rest of your summer!
