Much like LA’s Sumeau and Dundas, Ontario’s The Tallest Tree, here’s another accidental, but rewarding discovery.
FURS is an indie, psychedelic, pop quartet from London, UK. They started off playing live shows in late 2012, and last year started to release a couple of singles, which have that atmospheric and dreamy quality you find in the music of Veronica Falls, the early works of The Raveonettes, and newcomers Alvvays. Last year, they recorded “Just Kids”, a cool dream-pop tune. Three weeks ago, they released “An Eye on the Vicious”, which incorporates euphoric pop elements similar to The History of Apple Pie. You can hear both tracks below and get lost in their dreamy pop space.
FURS are Elle, Liam, Olly and Amina. They’ll be releasing a new single early in 2015, and they have plans to release their first album later in the new year, which will be highly anticipated in this space. Should they go on an extensive tour, hopefully they’ll stop in these parts.
