When the Ottawa Folk Festival announced their line-up and I saw Joss Stone‘s name, my tickets were sold. I have been a huge fan of hers since her first album. For awhile, I was wondering if I would ever get a chance to see her. In the fall of 2012, I made the drive to Montreal to see her, and I think that cost me more than the entire Folk Festival pass, but it was worth it. As such, the Folk Fest pass became a no-brainer.
What is there to say about Joss Stone? She is blessed with an incredible voice and knows how to use it. Her stage presence is amazing mostly because you really get the feeling she is simply loves to perform. The smile you see feels so authentic and it’s hard not to be drawn to her.
I felt a little bad for her having to perform in the cold weather in her light dress but she didn’t seem to mind at all, and the crowd certainly didn’t care, not with the performance they were witnessing.
