Bryan and Sarah Vanderpool’s love story is made for the movies. Both were aspiring solo artists in the Boston area, and they met like how many independent artists meet – at gigs and eventually supporting each other’s solo sets. The two eventually fell in love (whether it was love at first sight or whether it involved a midnight epiphany and subsequent run in the rain to the other person’s home to profess one’s love, we do not know) and decided to move out to sunny California to pursue their other love – music.

There, they became The Well Pennies. In 2012, they released their self-titled, debut EP to wide acclaim. Now, they’re getting set to release their debut full-length some time in 2015. As a teaser, the folk-pop duo has released “Drive”, a lovely little ditty that will recall The Middle East, The Civil Wars, and Shovels & Rope. It’s the type of song perfect for snuggling with your loved one in front of the fireplace.

The single as well as their EP can be heard on the duo’s on their website or Spotify. You can also pre-order their forthcoming LP, Endlings, to help them generate the funds needed to release the album.
