A couple of days ago, a documentary focusing on the rock and reggae scenes in England in 1977 popped up on Youtube. The documentary mostly focuses on The Clash and other British culture and counter-culture, and the growth of Punk culture in 1977.  Today’s Hidden Gem is based on the fact that this documentary seems to have some of the earliest live recordings of a band that is now considered one of the most influential of all time.  Check it out, the whole doc is about an hour and fifteen minutes, and it’s really interesting, but if you’re just in it for the Clash, they rock a very early version of “I’m So Bored With The USA” at about 48 minutes in, and other songs are scattered throughout the film.
