The Winchester, Virginia based duo Someone To Ride The River With perform lovely folk tunes. The duo consists of banjo player and singer Jamie Blum and guitar player and singer Terence Marciano.  We wrote about one of Marciano’s other projects, Gilmore Boys in the past, and if you listened to that, you can expect something a bit similar to that.  At the tail end of 2014, Someone to Ride the River with released a five track EP, Valley Songs.

Valley Songs is a gorgeous EP, Blum and Marciano create beautiful harmonies together. The combination of their voices over just acoustic guitar and banjo make Valley Songs seem like an intimate record, with an Appalachian feel, similar to a Gregory Alan Isakov record.  Both Blum and Marciano sing with a ton of passion about death, finding each other, and the transition from suburban Long Island to the Shenandoah Valley town of Winchester, Virginia.
