“Homegown” is the new single from New York City-via-Boston group Haux, and it’s easily one of the best of the first three months of the year without a doubt. It’s cinematic, breathtaking, and ethereal. The harmonies and tones produced by the multi-talented Woodson Black and his partner Emily Brouwer are truly remarkable, especially the harrowing vocals that remind us of M. Ward.

The low-key, under-the-radar group released an EP, The Bluest Sage, a few months ago that was mostly indie-folk that hinted at the dream-folk heard on “Homegrown”. It is a beautiful album in its simplicity, but the gorgeous vocals remain. All five tracks from the EP are below, and it can be purchased on Bandcamp.

You can hear “Homegrown” and 19 other tracks on the April 3rd Edition of The Weekend Showcase , a collection of new music from indie bands that you should get to know.
