We are pleased to share with you the latest single from The Wandering Lake, which is the project of Fayetteville, Arkansas resident Brian Kupillas. “Memphis” is a laid-back, acoustic folk number that echoes of the sublime sounds and approach of M. Ward – from the raspy voice, the psychedelic undertones of the song, and, for good measure, a little whistle in the middle of the song.
“Memphis” is the second single from Kupillas’ debut album, Wend to Why, out May 4 on Whatever Forever. The first single, “Lily Pad”, was included on our Weekend Showcase from last week (April 17).
