Vaadat Charigim – “Hashiamum Shokea”

by

If you haven’t heard of Vaadat Charigim, you better get familiar with them fast as they’re about to take North America by storm in the coming weeks. The Israeli trio have already established a strong following in their homeland with their lush and expansive combination of shoegaze; lo-fi, psych-rock; and dream-pop. They’re now set to release their new record, signing on with indie giant Burger Records in addition to Israeli label Anova Music.

The second single from Sinking As A Stone is the gorgeous and mind-altering “Hashiamum Shokea”. It’s a wonderful track that demonstrates the band’s ability to incorporate multiple layers combined with some subtle distortion to take the listener on a musical ecstasy.

They also released “Ein Li Mokin” a couple of months ago, which is the lead single from the new album. This track showcases the lo-fi, indie-rock side of the band (think Crystal Stilts).

Hear “Hashiamum Shokea” and 19 other cool tracks on the April 24th Edition of The Weekend Showcase.
