Video: Instant Empire – “Dead Air”

by

Many bands sing about a corrupt system, and being cheated, however not many use the “Konami Code” to make their point.  On their new track, “Dead Air”, Denver’s Instant Empire sing “Up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, b, a, start”, referring to the famous cheat code.  The song is a pretty groovy indie rocker, with a bassline that recalls some of the best Interpol tracks.  Instant Empire have also shared the music video for the track, a creepy, horror film inspired video. “Dead Air” will be on their debut LP, Lamplight Lost, which will be released on June 23, and judging from “Dead Air” it’s a record to keep an ear out for.
