North London-based band, Arctic Lake, epitomize how the internet and social media can help launch a young band’s career. Three months ago, they released the Daughter-esque “Limits”, which caught the attention of blogs, magazines, and everyone else, shooting the single up SoundCloud charts.

Three months later, they return with “Only Me”, which retains the lush and gorgeous quality of the debut single but is more ethereal and entrancing. It’s a song that you could find yourself drowning into the slight, haunting voice of frontwoman Emma Foster. We anxiously await to hear what’s next from the trio.

“Only Me” is on the May 1st Edition of the Weekend Showcase, which features 21 additional songs from the indie world.
