Back in February we profiled Austin native, LA resident Vanderocker‘s “Kissing Booth”, which we described as a “knee-slapping” rocker. She followed up that track with the dark, dub-wave-esque “One Breath”; rock-pop track “Smoke and Mirrors”, which resembles early Portugal. The Man; and a few other singles.
Vanderocker is now back with another single, “Without The Light”, a midtempo rocker with a catchy chorus and a great message about trying to deal with one’s surroundings, and our inability to adapt and to accept who we are. The single is the third one from her forthcoming album, Jupiter’s Kiss, which we can’t wait to hear.
Take the time to listen to the May 8th Edition of the Weekend Showcase, where you can find “Without the Light” and 20 other, awesome singles from the world of indie music.
