Edmonton, Alberta is slowly becoming a hotbed of great indie music. Earlier this year, we were introduced the brilliance of Faith Healer and the psychedelic escapades of Michael Rault. Now, here comes another psychedelic band, Betrayers. Where as Faith Healer was lush and Rault blew us away, Betrayers lull us with reverb and a midtempo pace, reminding us of the great music of the ’70s, best evidenced by their latest single “Tombstone Salesman”.

They’ve also recently released some shoegaze-y goodness in “Smear on the Cross” and “Love Rat”, which are below.

Hear “Tombstone Salesman” and 19 other indie tracks on the May 15th Edition of the Weekend Showcase.
