When you’ve been hand selected by David Alexander – the Swedish, indie-pop mastermind better known as Summer Heart – and he helps produce was one of your singles and asks you to open for him, you’re probably heading in the right direction. For Gothenburg, Sweden’s Heart/Dancer, they’ve become part of Alexander’s exclusive “family”of bands. Their latest single, “Outro (Entry Code, Dial Tone), has Alexander’s influences on it – a song seeped with multiple layers and a gorgeous, dreamy, and lush sound. It’s a bit of change for Linnéa Atieno and Joakim Buddee, who previously had more of melodic, electronic sound, as heard on “Halluncination” and “Waterfalls” below.

Heart/Dancer have just signed with Stockholm label Sommarhjärta, and “Outro” will be released as a single on June 15th. It is also the lead song from their forthcoming debut album, due out later this year.

You can also hear “Outro (Entry Code, Dial Tone)” and 19 other indie tracks on the May 15th Edition of the Weekend Showcase.
