Terrible Sons – “Neptune”

by

Where New Zealand is known for producing some great blues and roots musicians, New Zealand is developing a reputation from nurturing a great folk scene. Tiny Ruins, Hannah in the Wars, Nadia Reid, French for Rabbits… the list goes on and on. Husband-wife duo Terrible Sons are another band who make breathtaking folk music. Based out of the recovering Christchurch, Terrible Sons, who are composed of Matt Barus and Lauren Barus, have released their debut single, “Neptune”, which recalls the warmth and lush music of Belle Mare and Luluc. The stunning video for this great song is also below.

“Neptune” is one of 21 songs on the May 29th Edition of the Weekend Showcase, a playlist of music from new bands from around the globe.
