Apache Sun – “Silhouettes”

by

Apache SunA new band on the indie scene is Apache Sun. The duo from Glasgow, Scotland make ’70s-inspired psychedelic and surf-rock that is modeled after retro revivalists Tame Impala and Temples. Last week, they released a superb new single, “Silhouettes”. It’s like a cool, gentle breeze on a warm day – a soothing single that will leave a smile on your face. Or maybe it will melt your face, especially if you watch the video.

In addition to this single, Apache Sun have released a handful of songs, including the Thee Oh Sees-esque “Wandering Eyes”, which is below. No word on when they’ll have a new album out, but their singles are really, really good.

You can hear more of Apache Sun on SoundCloud. Apache Sun are Kris Mitchell and Pete Bruce.

You can hear “Silhouettes” and 19 awesome new tunes on the June 5th Edition of The Weekend Showcase.
