Samm Henshaw - "Better" (official video)

As we await the release of Samm Henshaw‘s much-anticipated debut EP, The Sound Experiment, Henshaw has released the official music video for “Better”, the third single from the album. The video, like the song, is a stripped down affair involving companions and lovers hanging at someone’s roomy flat or maybe a cool cafe. I hope Samm doesn’t take this the wrong way, but the video, with its setting and the group of friends hanging around, feels like a 2015 version of Friends. Of course, the music is much better, as Henshaw croons the beautiful and heart-felt lyrics of love and love lost. It’s a gorgeous song in the manner of John Legend, and one that will have a long lifespan.

And for an added bonus, see his live, unplugged version of the equally stellar “Mahogany”. On this video, Henshaw demonstrates his versatility – vocally and instrumentally – and his mature and gifted songwriting.

The Sound Experiment is expected out in September, pushed back from its original July release date.
