Day 3 at Ottawa Bluesfest saw one of the biggest and most controversial acts in the world headline the festival. As you might guess, Kanye West drew a very significant crowd and it was one of the biggest I have seen in my many years attending Bluesfest. From appearances it appeared to me to be the biggest crowd since KISS performed.

However, before I finished my night at Kanye West, I managed to see plenty of other acts. I started with Langhorne Slim who I actually discovered at this very festival a previous year. Unfortunately due to some stage issues he was a little delayed in starting and had to end his set short so as not to further delay the artists who followed him. His set although short on time, was anything short on nothing else and he also earned him a spot into The Revue’s favourites.

I also managed to catch Marianas Trench who always put on a high energy show and followed that with the always amazing Hawksley Workman. I’ve seen him many times before but he is always a blast.
