Do you remember back in 2012 when Santigold released “Disparate Youth”? The edgy, trippy electro-pop song helped take Santigold’s career to a different level. While many people will remember the music, the song’s about perseverance and unity reflected White’s upbringing.

Fast forward three years and Santigold is back on the music map. Well, sort of. Brooklyn electronic duo Tamper have taken Santigold’s hit single and created a terrific cover. They’ve slowed the track down by a notch and even stripped down the beats while adding a bit more synth. The result is a cover that is hypnotic and even a bit trippy. Most electronic acts would have actually remixed the song (which they have) instead of actually covering the song. Pretty awesome if you ask me.

Tamper are Aaron Barnard, who originally hails from Northern Ireland, and John Gribben, who was born in Australia. They met by chance in Brooklyn a couple of years ago and the rest is history.
