Atlas Genius are back. The band has gone from a foursome just down to duo Keith and Michael Jeffrey after their largely successful 2013 release When It Was Now.  Today they release their follow up album Inanimate Objects via Warner Brothers Records.  “Refugees” is a strong track off of the new album that we want to share even though they are quite well known.

Brothers Keith and Michael Jeffrey have melded a little bit more of an 80s synth vibe into the new releases but the evolution completely works. Their new album is out via Warner Bros. and you can grab it on i-Tunes.

The Living Gods of Haiti is made up of half-Syrian, half-English singer, songwriter Rebekah Dobbins and French producer Marc Collins. The trippy experimental pop track is one that forces you to take notice and instantly triggers intrigue. “The Hunt, The Harvest, The Sea” is ethereal yet tribal with a commanding wave of synth throughout.

“The Hunt, The Harvest, The Sea” is the first single from the forthcoming EP Run Back To Never which will be released next Friday. The Living Gods of Haiti have a Portishead and Bats for Lashes-like vibe going on and we are interested to hear more with their upcoming debut.

MABEL (Sydney, Australia) – “Rachel”

[soundcloud url=”https://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/204197442″ params=”color=ff5500&auto_play=false&hide_related=false&show_comments=true&show_user=true&show_reposts=false” width=”100%” height=”166″ iframe=”true” /]

MABEL definitely have that throwback lo-fi rock vibe going on and “Rachel” is the lead single off of their brand new EP of the same name. MABEL is comprised of Michael Votano (vocals), Daniel Romeo (guitar), Alvin Ash (bass) and Jeff Doukakis (drums).

“Rachel” is definitely a catchy indie rock track and it’s hard not to listen and bob your head back and forth. It’s the perfect track that summarizes the feelings of being taken aback by that relationship you didn’t even see coming. The Australian rockers will be releasing their Rachel EP worldwide on September 14th.

Silverbird (New York City, USA) – “Lyfe”

[soundcloud url=”https://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/210609263″ params=”color=ff5500&auto_play=false&hide_related=false&show_comments=true&show_user=true&show_reposts=false” width=”100%” height=”120″ iframe=”true” /]

Silverbird is founded by songwriter Tim Barr. The NYC based rock band is comprised of Tim Barr (vox, guitar), Dan Whaley (guitar) Corey Davis (Bass) and Jacob Schaub (Drums).

In 2014 they released their debut EP Surface Life which was well received. Their debut full length album Pureland will be released September 18th. “Lyfe” is a vibey track with a bit of 70s era rock shining through. The song speaks to that true love and wanting to spend all your time with that special someone. The song takes a quick slow down in the middle before heading back full force to finish out.

We look forward to hearing more from the NYC-based band.

Wolvereen (New York City, USA) – “Seventeen”

[soundcloud url=”https://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/217933548″ params=”color=ff5500&auto_play=false&hide_related=false&show_comments=true&show_user=true&show_reposts=false” width=”100%” height=”166″ iframe=”true” /]

Seventeen-year old Olivia Eigel already has a nice musical resume to brag about. She started writing her own songs at age 11, and recording them at 13. She performed with her best friends in Chicago under the name Purple Apple. She has now graduated high school and moved from Chicago to Brooklyn and has now formed her new band Wolvereen.

The debut track by Wolvereen is the aptly titled “Seventeen”. It is hard not to take notice of the upbeat rock track at first listen with her commanding Blondie-esque vocals. Even though summer is winding down, this could be an addition to any summer playlist. Stay tuned for an upcoming debut out in Winter 2016.
