Whitewash is a NYC based band who have recently released their debut album Shibboleth.

We are sharing the creative new video for their single “Member”.

The album is full of a diverse group of genres and soundscapes. It starts with familiar 90s lo-fi rock vibe with “Hunger Strike”, which continues on the tracks “Member” and “Pantomime”. The instrumental tracks  “Neon Loveseat” and “Saudade” provide a sample of their guitar talents and song composition.

Other notable tracks are “Dissociative Episode” and “Tentacle”. “Reagan’s Death Star” is a statement about Russia and might possibly be the reasoning behind the band name.

The 9 track album does prove Whitewash has a diverse sound and the ability to travel to many different creative levels and spaces, yet still be cohesive.

The quartet is comprised of Sam Thornton, Evan Glazman, Jonathan Ben-Menachem and Aram Demirdjian. In 2013 the band released their debut EP, Fraud In Lisbon which was made entirely on Jon’s laptop.
