The Matinee November 6 truly is a worldwide playlist today. We have six awesome new tracks that cover indie pop/rock, noise rock and synth pop. We are featuring 2 artists from the UK, one from Japan, one from Norway, one from the US and another from Canada. We hope you get your Friday started off right. Coasts – “You” (Bristol & Norwich, UK)

Coasts is an awesome band originally out of Bristol/Norwich and they have been releasing amazing tracks and have been on our radar since “A Rush of Blood” showed up on soundcloud last year. They now have a new track “You” and it is upbeat and awesome. Coasts is comprised of Chris, Liam, James, David and Ben. Coasts’ debut album will be out in January, and “You” is the newest single from the forthcoming album.

The fin. – “Night Time” (Kobe, Japan)

The fin. is from Kobe, Japan and the track is one that has been put on repeat after first listen. With airy guitars and dreamy synth vibes, they are like an awesome mix of Beach House and Metronomy. The fin. has their upcoming Night Time EP release on December 4 via Lost In The Manor Records. The fin is comprised of Yuto Uchino (vocals and synths), Ryosuke Odagaki (guitar), Takayasu Taguchi (bass) and Kaoru Nakazawa (drums). We look forward to hearing more from this up and coming band.

Greys – “Nothing Means Anything” (Toronto, Canada)

Greys is from Toronto, ON and they are comprised of Shehzaad Jiwani (guitar/vocals), Cam Graham (guitar), Braeden Craig (drums), and Colin Gillespie (bass). ‘Nothing Means Anything” is a blistering rock track off of their newly released EP, Repulsion. Greys released their debut album If Anything last year and their new EP titled Repulsion is out now via Carpark Records. You can pick up the EP here. The rest of this playlist is surrounded by a lot of indie pop/rock but everyone needs a bit of harder rock in their life and Greys delivers.
RKDN – “Silver” (Provo, UT, USA)

RKDN is a new band from Provo, UT and we are sharing their debut track, “Silver”. The alt-indie pop quartet is comprised of Matt Orr (Lead vocals), Cam Faerber (drums), Kyle Hooker (bassist) and Clark Wiesenberg (keys/synth). “Silver” offers up that infectious indie pop sound that you can’t help but like. They will soon be releasing their debut LP in early 2016 on Mono Music Group/UMG. We are sure we will be hearing more from this emerging and talented new band.

Stereopol – “The Hitch” (Oslo, Norway)

Stereopol is from Oslo, Norway. They have a super upbeat and awesome indie pop track called “The Hitch” that we had to share. They remind us a bit of The Griswolds and they will definitely get you in an upbeat mood. Stereopol is comprised of Stig Frogner: Vocals + Guitar + Keys Jesper Havrevold: Guitar Lars Frogner: Bass Ola Røed Bilgrei: Drums Sebastian Overskott: Spices. “The Hitch” is off of their most recent release, Zensanity which you can stream on Spotify.

TROVES – “Marionette” (Brighton, UK)

TROVES is on SoundCloud and Twitter and she makes some awesome tunes. She calls it woozy pop, we call it mesmerizing. “Marionette” is a haunting and beautiful track about that relationship that probably isn’t the best for you, but you are just sucked right in anyway. We look forward to hearing more from this Bristol-based artist.
