A Dream A Coast - Last To KnowA Dream, A Coast is Toronto born Aimee Bessada from former bands including Hunter Valentine and Dance Yourself to Death. “Last To Know” is the first song written for her self titled upcoming EP. The track has a light melody and dance-able groove yet the subject matter is about figuring out you were the last to know about a certain situation or relationship.  Bessada’s vocals are sincere yet strong, similar to great 90s female powerhouses including Liz Phair or even Alanis Morissette. We look forward to hearing more from A Dream, A Coast.

“Last To Know” is from A Dream, A Coast’s self-titled, debut EP, which can be heard on SoundCloud and purchased at iTunes (US|CAN) and eMusic.

Mleo. - Ridiculous

Mleo have a brand new single to follow up from their 2014 release, Sunken City. Mleo originally started as a trio in Sacramento and have since expanded to their current line up as a quartet after relocating to Los Angeles. Their sound is eclectic and swings between jazz, funk, indie rock/pop, R&B, hip hop and even hard rock.

“Ridiculous” captures Reed’s sweet and shimmery vocals well which are similar to Harriet Wheeler (The Sundays).  The track starts off slow while building into a full on rock track toward the end. Their knack for spot on vocals, songwriting and vague progressive elements keeps you wanting for more. Mleo are Audrey Reed (vocals); Victor San Pedro (guitar); Nick De La O (bass); and Elias Vasquez (drums).

Why We Run - A Moment To ReturnAussie band Why We Run perked our ears back in May when they released the summery pop tune, “Ignites”. They are back with “A Moment To Return” which has us patiently waiting for their upcoming debut album. The track has a familiar and feel good vibe, like your favorite sweater you wear all winter. The lyrics speak to the future of relationships and the paths that each of our lives take. We wish the track were a bit longer, but this will suffice until the next single arrives. Why We Run has huge potential to be your next favorite indie rock band that will slowly but surely infiltrate multiple countries and airwaves, if someone out there catches wind of their talent.

“A Moment to Return” is the lead single from Why We Run’s forthcoming debut album, which is expected in April 2016. The band consists of Nic Cogels, Nick Langley, Ed Prescott and Lloyd Prescott.
