About a month ago, we had the privilege of debuting Blackheart Honeymoon‘s music video for “Bodies”, which followed two lost souls jaunting around Seattle looking for love. Today, we are pleased to premiere their newest song, “Rest In Bone”.

Unlike the light-hearted, folk-rock of “Bodies”, “Rest In Bone” is a darker, more haunting track. It bellows of guitar-driven southern rock made famous by The Black Crowes and early My Morning Jacket. The underlying story is also a darker one – less about finding love and more about remembering lost loved ones.

“Rest In Bone” is a great track, and one that could potentially signal a slight change in focus for the multi-genre, five-piece from the Pacific Northwest. If this single is indeed foreshadowing what is to come, Blackheart Honeymoon could find their music being played across the globe.

The single is being released by boutique, Seattle label Lost Hymn Recordings. Check out the artist’s page here.

Blackheart Honeymoon are Ian Prebo (vocals, acoustic guitar); Wesley Amundsen (bass); Steve Andrea (guitar); Adrienne Marie Pollock (vocals, keys); and Dusty Hayes (drums, vocals).
