Now in its 5th year since its inception, NAC Presents strives to showcase the depths of the musical talent within Canada’s borders. On November 22nd, as part of that series, the evening’s entertainment spanned coast to coast. Yukon Blonde, hailing from British Columbia, paired with Newfoundland’s own Hey Rosetta!, both took to the Southam Hall stage in front of a very welcoming crowd. Yukon Blonde opened the evening with a short yet lively 5-song set that had concert-goers on their feet. After which, Hey Rosetta! entertained the crowd with a melange of melodies almost evenly extracted from their newest album, Second Sight, and previously released works. “Carry Me Home” was a highlight of the evening, as was Land You Love, where Yukon Blonde joined the ensemble on stage to open the encore. The evening wrapped up graciously with their closer and cover of Ben E King’s “Stand by Me”.
