Mortigi Tempo is from Provo, UT and we listened to their track “Wake Me” multiple times and continued to wonder why on earth they are not more well known. “Wake Me” is over 5 awesome minutes of rock that blends elements of 90s era rock, surf vibes and psychedelia. At first listen you might think this is a laid back indie rock track, until you get over halfway through. We can only imagine the live set would be pretty impressive.
Mortigi Tempo is a trio comprised of Chris Fallo – Guitars/Vox, Marz Samuel Leizureman – Percussion, and Nicholas Allen – Guitars/Keys/Vox.

PERHAPSY is the side project of Derek Barber who has played for both Bells Atlas and Astronauts, etc. The Astronauts, etc album was in our top 50 for 2015 so we definitely wanted to take a listen.
“All My Soul Swallowed” is a laid back track with a shoegaze vibe that captures and holds your attention. Barber’s vocals are perfect against the backdrop of smooth guitars with just the right amount of reverb.
So far PERHAPSY has a nice collection of indie rock tracks on Soundcloud that range from experimental pop to shoegaze. While Barber has been playing off and on as PERHAPSY since 2009 at first creating mostly instrumental tracks, his new direction with “All My Soul Swallowed” and his muted but succinct vocals, has us wanting to hear more.
