Billy Fox is creating awesome soul infused electronic tracks, and “East Coast” is the perfect feel good track. Fox reminds a bit of Max Frost as they both have those sultry vocals and the production and beats to allow each track to shine.
“East Coast” is a chilled out ode to homesickness of the best kind and all the nostalgic twangs that come with yearning for a coastline, a city and its people. We look forward to hearing more from Billy Fox in 2016.

Great News – “Diamonds” (Bergen, Norway)

Great News have only been playing together for less than a year, but you can’t tell by listening. The band has gotten great accolades over in Norway and has opened for the likes of Unknown Mortal Orchestra. “Diamonds” has that laid back feel good indie pop/rock vibe going on and you can’t help but push play again after first listen.
Great News shares a bit about the track: “The mood we’re trying to get across with the song is kind of the same feeling of slipping on ice. You can’t fight it, you have to accept that you’re losing control. It’s also like watching the world through a diamond. You’ll see many sides of the same reality, and you’ll be seduced by the illusion.”
Great News are Even Kjelby, Lars Henrik Stoud Platou, and Ole Kristian Einarsen.
