It’s Valentine’s Day in most of the world, and some people may be searching for a playlist for the occasion. Well, we could say we have that, but we really don’t. Nope, the Weekend Showcase 2.05 edition just features great new music from the past week. Sure, there are some tunes on the playlist that could be considered one for lovers or tearjerkers, but it wasn’t our intent to curate a lengthy list of songs for these moments. Rather, we want to share music that will endure, that we will remember when the calendar turns to February 15th and beyond. And when you hear some of these songs, you’ll want to keep them in your collection for a long time, like finding one’s soulmate.
As always, the playlist features all the great music we’ve shared from the past week, and they are listed below. The links to each article are provided.
The tracklisting follows along with the SoundCloud link. Ten countries are presented (Australia, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, New Zealand, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the United States). Click on the artist’s / band’s name in the tracklisting to go to one of their social media pages, where you can follow or learn more about them. Happy Valentine’s Day, and whether you will be celebrating with someone or enjoying the time alone, may you find a new artist to fall in love with as you spin the 50 songs below (we did have to replace one song).
