For CoverBack Thursday, we have two awesome covers originally from the 90s totally worth sharing. The first comes from UK based Lyla Foy . This cover is from last year but it is so great, we must share. Foy tackles the amazing Tori Amos with “Cornflake Girl” and does it very successfully.
Our next cover comes from BATTS an electronic duo based in Melbourne/Birmingham. They totally update the 90s hit from Haddaway and turn it into an awesome synth pop gem. Luckily this version does not force the image of Will Ferrel or Chris Kattan while listening.

Lyla Foy has a beautiful voice and we shared her music last fall. Her version of “Cornflake Girl” is amazing and showcases her vocal talent well. The song is bass and beats heavy which gives the track a nice update versus the 90s original.
BATTS – “What Is Love” (Haddaway)

Electronic Duo BATTS take a chilled and laid back approach to the 90s original by Haddaway. The track is smooth and provides us with a great addition of sax midway through. BATTS is comprised of Melbourne based Tanya Batt and Birmingham based Alisdair Mason.
