Moats - "Hungry"

Moats should have blown up by now. They played an awesome set at the ACL Festival back in 2014 (check out our Q&A here) and their sound is infectious. They have been chosen to attend SXSW this year, although we do not see them on the schedule just yet.

“Hungry” is sort of new. A video was posted back in 2014 of the track but it’s now officially on soundcloud so we had to share. “Hungry” is part of their currently unreleased EP, Rough.

Moats maintain an amazing vocal range backed with complex guitars that include an older 90s nostalgia element which immediately has you hooked. Each track they release just re-affirms their talent and potential for breakout. We hope 2016 will be an amazing year for Moats. Moats is comprised of Matt, James,Wilson and Nath.

OTHERKIN – “I Was Born” (Dublin, Ireland)

OTHERKIN - "I Was Born"

OTHERKIN  had success with The 201 EP that was released last year which included the infectious track AY AY.

“I Was Born” is their latest and it is completely frenetic in a good way. It immediately gets your blood pumping and has to be an amazing track to witness live with completely wailing guitars throughout.

OTHERKIN shows no signs of slowing down and we look forward to hearing more from this emerging punk inspired band. Three of the members met while on holiday in Canada and later Rob Summons joined back in Ireland. “I Was Born” is the lead single from the band’s forthcoming EP, The New Vice. It drops May 27th via Rubyworks.

The Otherkin are David Anthony, Luke Reilly, Rob Summons, and Conor Andrew Wynne.

Taymir - "I Want It"

Taymir was witnessed live last year at SXSW and their live set completely impressed.
They have a knack for meshing sounds of early 60s rock with modern indie rock-pop similar to The Strokes.

“I Want It” is the newest from Taymir and they continue to create awesome 60s influenced rock with a modern day urgency. The foursome packs a lot of energy into each song off the new EP which was just released at the end of February.

This is the title track from Taymir’s new EP, which is out now via Homebass Records.

Taymir are Bas Prins (vocals/keys), Mikkie B Wessels (guitars/vocals), Quinten Meiresonne (bass/vocals), and Isaï “Johnny Ray” Reiziger (drums).

VOKES - "Value"

VOKES will bring you into a completely chilled out mode with each track . “Value” is the perfect track to spin while needing to immediately relax.

VOKES is Mr. Mike Harris who is a master at producing ethereal beats with a chill wave vibe against dreamy vocals. The lyrical content is solid as well which makes for the perfect formula for success in the synth pop arena.

“Value” is the second single from VOKES’ debut EP, Fractalism. We shared the first single almost exactly one month ago.

Wildcat! Wildcat! – “Straight To The Top” (Los Angeles, USA)

[soundcloud url=”https://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/243834939″ params=”color=ff5500&auto_play=false&hide_related=false&show_comments=true&show_user=true&show_reposts=false” width=”100%” height=”150″ iframe=”true” /]

Wildcat! Wildcat! - "Straight To The Top"

Wildcat! Wildcat! are pros at creating dreamy and other worldly tracks where you can’t avoid hitting repeat. Their debut s/t EP was 4 tracks of perfection in the indie synth pop arena. Their latest album release No Moon At All is completely underrated with awesome tracks like “Garden Grays” and “Hero”.

“Straight To The Top” is the newest from the LA based duo and we can’t wait to hear more new music. If you dig bands like Small Black, you should definitely add Wildcat! Wildcat! to your list. “Straight To The Top” is upbeat as well as uplifting yet contradicting and extremely melodic.

Wildcat! Wildcat! is comprised of Jesse Taylor and Jesse Carmichael. Keep your eyes peeled for more from this talented duo.
