LISBON - "Shark"

LISBON are from the UK and they have been releasing some pretty exciting indie rock/pop tracks. They have gotten some great online followers. Some of their previous efforts have been a bit more laid back and poppy. “Shark” really proves their range with solid rock infused with an anthemic chorus and mixed with both airy and commanding guitar riffs.

Singer Matthew Varty shares a bit about the track: ‘Shark depicts the struggle young bands have nowadays to make a name for themselves in the music industry. The daily financial issues of being in an emerging band versus never wanting to give up on your dream, whilst at the same time avoiding the many ‘sharks’ that you cross paths with along the way. The song is a way of expressing our frustrations, whilst portraying a newfound darkness. We want to follow the percussive vibe from our previous singles but a lot of our new songs have a more raw live sound.’

LISBON are Matthew Varty, Joe Atkinson, Gaz Turkington, and Alex Wright. Shark will be released via Think Tank? Records on 27th May.

Nakita - "Where Are You?"

“Where Are You?” is the debut track from artist Nakita, or Nakita Turner who is a teenage vocalist/artist who has totally impressed us with her vocals.

“Where Are You?” is a the perfect electro-pop track that also includes lyrical depth. Nikita shares that “Where Are You?” is about a ‘young soul’ compromising herself + her morals in order to reach the top of her game, loosing herself in the process.

What is even more impressive is that at only 14 she helped write and record an anti-bullying song and visited schools to help canvas lyrics. You can check out the video here. We are excited to hear more from this emerging pop star.

San Scout - "Get Me By"

“Get Me By” is off San Scout’s debut EP, EP1. The song is laid back and dreamy – with a mixture of elements that have you guessing what will be coming next.

woof

It’s no secret we are fans of WOOF. We were really impressed with his debut album, Bad Connection. WOOF. is Kelan Bonislawski who keeps on creating unique and awesome tracks.

The newest is “Ampullae of Lorenzini” which takes a bit of a turn from WOOF.’s usual sound and he creates an awesome blend of orchestral and electronic elements which complements his vocals nicely along with his signature groovy guitar.

Our favorite thing about WOOF. is that you know with each new single release you are going to get something unexpected yet wonderful and that keeps us patiently waiting for more.
