Andie Case - "Coming Around"

Andie Case already has a huge following of fans.  She has created some awesome cover songs of numerous pop stars, and her most popular one is a great cover of Jason Derulo.

Andie has now branched out into creating her own style and sound. We are excited to share “Coming Around” which is the first single released from her upcoming debut EP.

The track is full of catchy beats and has the perfect mix of elements to hook both pop and edm fans. The true stand out that has obviously catapulted Ms. Case into the spotlight are her strong vocals that are completely evident throughout this song (especially the end). We have a feeling, very soon we will be hearing much more from Ms. Case.

Andie Case shares a bit about “Coming Around”: “The thing that’s so special about ‘Coming Around’ is how quickly it all came together! It was the first time that Jaymes [Young] and I had ever worked together and we had 75% of the song done in the first 30 minutes. It was such an awesome experience and I can’t wait for everyone to hear it.”

Case’s debut single is out today via South x Sea.

Astronauts. - "Recondition"

Astronauts. (aka Dan Carney) have been creating awesome laid back acoustic tracks for a while now. In 2014 he released the album Hollow Ponds  which included the stellar “Skydive”.

“Recondition” is one of the newer tracks from Astronauts off of his forthcoming album. The track starts off acoustic based and grows into a lovely intricate track with perfectly placed guitar riffs and piano.

Figs Vision – “Elle You’re Walking” (Los Angeles, USA)

figsvision

Figs Vision are from LA and we can’t help but hear heavy Prince influences in “Elle You’re Walking” which makes us happy. The track is dance able and full of energy even though the lyrical content seems a bit more serious than the feel good and happy beats.

Figs Vision is comprised of core members Jordan Spoliansky and Gunner Sixx who have known each other since childhood.

Figs Vision released their debut LP Mother in 2014 and they are back with a passion to perform and reform.  The band are dead set on fulfilling their destiny, and with new songs out this year, the next chapter in their journey is about to begin.

Max Frost – “President” (Austin, USA)

[soundcloud url=”https://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/260794563″ params=”color=ff5500&auto_play=false&hide_related=false&show_comments=true&show_user=true&show_reposts=false” width=”100%” height=”150″ iframe=”true” /]

maxfrostpresident

Max Frost is back with a brand new track titled “President”. He shared a bit about his motivation on Facebook and we totally agree: “While the song doesn’t have a specific political agenda, my aim is to show how disenfranchised my generation has become with our political system. It’s become a TV show and we are merely the observers. How are we suppose to care when all outcomes feel the same?”

“President” is a groovy new track and even though the lyrics are in response to the state of politics today, the retro vibe reminds us of when we couldn’t ignore those great political speeches (think JFK) that inspired us to become a better citizen, a better human. How can we get  back to that place?

“President” was released and produced by Mr. Frost and we always look forward to hearing more from one of our favorite Austin artists.

Psycho Comedy – “One” (Liverpool, England)

psychocomedy

Psycho Comedy have just debuted “One” and they are creating some mesmerizing psych rock. Their release of “One” proves they have what it takes to go far.

“One” reminds of us 60s inspired rock yet with a fresh and progressive sound for today. The reverb is just perfect and they are great at marrying together psych rock with a punk inspired attitude.

Psycho Comedy have influences ranging from Pink Floyd to The Stooges, their sound combines elements of experimental and dreamy progressive punk, and whilst fairly minimal in hooks, the band remain firm in their message with unapologetic and dark urban, social and humorous lyrics.

Psycho Comedy’s One is released on 3rd June via Playing With Sound and will be available to purchase on iTunes and Spotify.

Tom Greenwood – “Anything But Yourself” (London, England)

[soundcloud url=”https://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/261165494″ params=”color=ff5500&auto_play=false&hide_related=false&show_comments=true&show_user=true&show_reposts=false” width=”100%” height=”150″ iframe=”true” /]

Tom Greenwood - "Anything But Yourself"

We don’t know a lot about Tom Greenwood except that he is a singer-songwriter from London and he has just released “Anything But Yourself”. It is folk-rock perfection.

Tom Greenwood has that exact mix of intriguing vocals, heartfelt and emotive lyrics set against dreamy folk inspired rock. This song speaks to that relationship where breaking up is the only thing left to do. He sings “The only thing left I could do for you, is leave you now”.

We hope that we hear more and soon from Mr. Greenwood. He is currently working on an album, which should be released later this year.
