On the heels of a pair of performances at CMW, Van Damsel made a stop at Zaphod Beeblebrox in Ottawa to hold an all ages show. The BC hailing band recently (April 22nd) launched their first self-titled album, which proceeded a couple of EP releases including Say Hello To Your Mother and The Sunshine, Girl. The intimate but enthusiastic group in attendance took over the floor space, happily singing along, getting their groove on, and sharing fist-bumps from the stage with the lead singer. They are currently rounding out their Canadian tour with just a couple more dates on the west coast. Do make it a priority to see them if you’re ready for a indie-pop-rock dance date. With their catchy tunes, you’re bound to enjoy yourself !
The lead off to the evening, playing “only the hits”, was local synth talent Townes.
Van Damsel is comprised of Sebastien Ste Marie (vocals), Rich Bregoliss (guitar), Matthew Barron (drums), and Matthew Rennehan (bass).
