I have never been as active in my concert photography as I have been in 2016. I was able to cover the big, two, world-class events in Austin (South by Southwest and Austin City Limits), numerous sold out shows at The Parish, Mohawk, Stubb’s Waller Amphitheatre, Emo’s and The Sidewinder. Then there is my personal favorite, Float Fest – a new music festival that provided their attendees the option to float on an inner tube down the San Marcos River when the Texas heat became unbearable. My shutter count on my camera has increased by the thousands since January of this year, and out of all of those shots I have posted my personal 15 favorite photos below.

We are less than a week from 2017 and I’m already looking forward to it. We are planning to cover more, newer festivals in Texas such as Levitation, Sound on Sound, Old Settler’s Music, and Middlelands in addition to the annual festivals.
