Since 2015, we have asked independent artists to share their favorite memories from their time at SXSW. In just a couple of years, this project has become one of our most popular features thanks to the growing interests of bands and singers from around the world. Forty-five artists participated in this year’s edition, including Draper.

Originally from Neuilly-sur-Seine but now based in London, James Draper first emerged on the scene as an 18-year old in 2010, winning a number of remix competitions. He’s since become one of Western Europe’s top producers and DJs, and he’s signed to Canadian mega-label Monstercat, which explains just how big Draper is and how massive he could be. Audiences at SXSW learned first hand why Europeans flood to his concerts, but Austin for Draper was experiencing its little charms.

Photo – Ribstagram!!! I will never forget the best BBQ I’ve ever had at Cooper’s. Blew my mind, body, and soul.

Video – The riverside bike rides were awesome for chilling before a show! (apologies for the grainy video)
