One of the great joys of going to festivals is discovering new bands that sound like nothing you already listen to. This is a feeling many people will experience when they first hear Mackenzie Rhythm Section. Equal parts rock, funk, reggae and old school punk, Mackenzie Rhythm Section have a completely one of a kind sound and are an absolute joy to listen to.
The musicianship is tight and their genre seems to change by the song which leads to an extremely energetic, extremely fun and unpredictable show. Once Mackenzie Rhythm Section are done, you will be running to listen to their debut album “The Big Break.”
You can check out Mackenzie Rhythm Section at 6 p.m. in the Barney Danson Theatre on July 5, 2014.
