Holy $#!%. That’s all I could say when I heard The Red Rails for the first time. Bluefest indeed, these are the bluesiest guys in town. Just listen to the first minute of this and you’ll know what I mean.

There’s something going on here, and I really dig it. Somewhere between AC/DC and Wolfmother, The Red Rails swing the electric blues around and knock it down for a solid beating. Vocalist and guitarist Kim Vincent, bassist Chris Slaney and drummer Steve Brogno are solid musicians with a lot of soul and muscle (Chris has more than a passing resemblance to Chad from Nickelback, by the way, wondering if they’re cousins or something).

Check out some great blues rock with The Red Rails on Sunday, July 13 @ 3:00pm in the Barney Danson Theatre. If you’re one of those folks whining about “there’s no blues at bluesfest, waaaah”, you’ll be superglad you saw this gig.
