“Speak Yellow” is the ’90s-esque, alternative-rock tune from Columbus, Ohio trio Van Dale. It’s a mid-fi track with just enough distortion to make you reflect back on a time of shaggy hair, torn jeans, and hallowed bars.
This is the second single from their forthcoming, self-titled debut album, which comes out March 31 on Fleeting Youth Records. About three weeks ago, they released “Bed of Bricks“, a slightly quicker tempo but retaining the alt-rock sound of the ’90s. It’s one of the rare songs of today that replicates the genius of that genre to a tee. This song is also below.
