“Powder” is the buzzkill of a new single by Atlanta, Georgia punk-pop band Starbenders. This is a band that could be called fearless, as they are unafraid to tackle the most sensitive subjects. On this track, they sing about a night of drug use, hence the single’s title. Musically, though, their combination of post-punk and pop is delirious and engrossing, and this quartet play it with an attitude.
Starbenders are Kimi Shelter (lead vocals/guitar), Paris (guitar/vocals), Aaronious Monk (bass/vocals); and Katie Herron (drums).
