Today’s Twitter Tuesday band is HyeTension out of Richmond, VA. They are offering up some pretty sweet rock with a garage type feel. On their newest EP, The Observer the vocals are a bit subdued and the guitars definitely take the stage on tracks like “New Regent” and “Glass Elevator”. Those two tracks remind us a bit of Paperhaus.
The band is comprised of Chris Kasbarian – Vocals/Rhythm Guitar, Carter Auch – Lead Guitar/Backing Vocals, Ryan Sheehan – Bass Guitar/Backing Vocals, and Sam Khalaji – Drums/Backing Vocals.
The band has been around since 2006 and they are actually working on their first full length album. Their Observer EP is available in full to stream on Soundcloud or Spotify. Maybe they will send us an advance copy so we can do a proper review. We are sharing our two favorite tracks from their new EP.
