On March 29th, The Zolas highlighted tracks from their third studio LP Swooner to a sold-out crowd at the Nighclub at the Edge of the Universe. The 80s-tinged pop tunes of the new release, like “Molotov Girls” and “Get Dark”, were mingled in with older sing along favourites such as “Escape Artist” and “Strange Girl”. The crowd was enthusiastic and up for it all, including keeping Cody Hiles aloft as he made his inaugural, and for the most part successful (after the initial dive drop), attempt at crowd surfing.

They are currently in the midst of a tour across Canada. Consider yourself encouraged to check them out if you’re up for a fun dance-filled night !

The evening was supported by hometown talent Moroccan Sun and Toronto natives Grounders.

The Zolas are comprised of Zachary Gray (vocals/guitar), Tom Dobrzanski (piano/vocals), Cody Hiles (bass guitar), and Dwight Abell (drums).
